  • ☀️ Light
Thrives in bright direct light, but can also tolerate bright indirect light

  • 💧 Watering
Water every 2 to 3 weeks, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. In brighter light, the cactus will require more frequent watering.

Caring for your cacti

🌵 Want a little spice in your apartment?
Cacti are perfect for adding a touch of exoticism to your home. They are fascinating plants and relatively easy to maintain. But to get the most out of them, it is essential to know a few basic rules. Don't worry, we are here to give you them!

The importance of light for cacti

Cacti require maximum light to thrive .
To start, it is crucial to place your cacti near a south-facing window. This exposure ensures that they receive direct and abundant light, which is essential for their growth. An east or west orientation can also be suitable.
On the other hand, a north-facing window should be avoided because it will not provide enough light, which could lead to the death of the plant...
It is also important to know that the frequency of watering required will depend on the intensity of the light : the more intense the light, the more frequently you will need to water.

Watering cacti

Watering is a crucial part of cactus care and should be adjusted according to the seasons. During the growing season, which runs from April to October, watering should be more frequent . If your cacti receive maximum light, they may need watering up to twice a week.
However, if the light is less intense, watering once a month may be sufficient.
During the winter months, cacti need virtually no water . It is recommended that you water your cactus very little during this period, if at all. In winter, there is often not enough light available to support new growth.
This will allow the cacti to flower more vigorously in the spring or summer.

The use of artificial light

If you want to use grow lights for your cacti, it is important to simulate natural light as best as possible.
You can use grow lights to provide continuous light (about 12-20 hours per day). This can trick the cactus into thinking it is still in the growing season.
However, for this to work you also need to maintain a suitable temperature, above 15°C.
By providing continuous light and proper temperature, your cacti can grow even during the winter months.

The importance of fertilization

Fertilization is necessary for the healthy growth of cacti. During the growing season, from April to October, it is essential to provide additional nutrients. The original soil can become depleted of nutrients after a few months.
You can use our Cactus Nourishing Serum . It is specially designed to stimulate the growth of cacti, succulents and fat plants. The natural nutrients contained in the serum will allow them to root strongly.
To use it, nothing could be simpler!
Add 2 drops in 250 ml of watering water, during the growth period. You can feed your cactus 1 watering out of 2.

Practical tips for beginners

There are varieties of cacti and succulents that are easier to care for, such as Faucaria tigrina .

Cacti, in general, with their built-in survival mechanisms, are great for those who want low-maintenance plants! But they still require a little attention in order for them to thrive.

Make sure to place your cacti in a place where they receive enough light and follow our advice ;)
