Handcrafted in Portugal
Our Ollas are handmade in Portugal by our master potters, in the workshops of Ana & Vitor, in the Leiria region, where ceramics have been crafted for generations and generations.
Each of our ollas is a unique handcrafted piece — no two share exactly the same texture and surface, which makes it truly one of a kind.
A system as old as (fired) earth
ollas use an ancient technique that has been used since antiquity: the natural porosity of the ceramic allows water to escape gently and directly at the roots, ensuring hydration.
It's a method that respects the natural rhythm of plants, providing them with the water they need, when they need it.

Frequently asked questions
What is an olla?
An olla is a terracotta pot designed to water your plants autonomously and efficiently. It gradually releases water to keep plants continuously hydrated.
How do you use an olla?
Plant the olla in the pot, close to your plant, making sure to leave part of the olla sticking out. Fill it with water and that's it! All you have to do is watch your plants grow!
How often do I need to refill the olla?
Generally, filling the olla once a week is enough, but this can vary depending on climate conditions and plant type.
Can I use an olla with all my plants?
Yes, ollas are suitable for all green plants, whether indoors or outdoors.
They're ideal for plants that need consistently moist soil.
Just remember, if you use them outside, bring them in when it freezes ❄
Can an olla damage my plants?
No, the olla distributes water in a measured way, avoiding the risk of overwatering and promoting the optimal health of your plants 💚
Where should I place the olla in the pot for maximum effectiveness?
Place the olla near your plant so that water is distributed evenly to the roots. Make sure the olla is in good contact with the soil.
What should I do if I go on holiday?
The olla is the ideal solution for keeping your plants hydrated while you're away. Fill it with water before you leave, and it will take care of your plants until you return.
For longer trips, we recommend watering the surface and filling your olla — it will then take over as soon as your plant has absorbed the water at the surface.
Does the olla work with pots of all sizes?
Yes, we offer different sizes of ollas to suit different pots and different plants.
For pots smaller than 15 cm in diameter, we recommend our Mini Ollas
How do I care for my olla?
Rinse the olla with clean water from time to time to remove any mineral deposits. And that's it!
