Frequently asked questions
How do I use my olla?
It's really simple — start by making a small hole in the soil and plant your olla in it. Fill it with water about once a week and watch your plants grow!
When should I refill my olla?
Generally, filling your olla once a week is enough. In hot weather, you can fill it more frequently.
Can I use it for all my plants?
Yes. If you use it with cacti or succulents, we nonetheless recommend waiting 2–3 days after the olla is empty before refilling it, to allow the soil time to dry out.
What should I do when I go on holiday?
We recommend giving the soil a surface water and filling the olla just before you leave — it will act as an extra water reservoir for your plants.
